A live marketplace of hiring and for-hire posts.
r/forhire is a transactional sub: people post [Hiring] and [For Hire] listings. It is less discussion, more marketplace — a real-time feed of who needs work done and who is available.
Clients hiring freelancers and freelancers selling services across every discipline.
~350k members — a large community. Use it as a general-tier sub: high reach, filter hard for intent.
Unusually direct intent. [Hiring] posts are literal buyers describing a need; [For Hire] posts reveal the tools and services freelancers want. Best used as a niche sub for staffing, agency, and freelancer-tool products.
Buying signals to watch forStrict tagging rules. Engage within the format; do not derail listings with off-topic pitches.
The 11 rules r/forhire moderators enforce, summarised from the subreddit’s official rules page (June 2026). Read them before you post or reply — rules change, so confirm the current rules on Reddit.
Do not post more than once per 7 days unless your [Hiring] ad is for a different position. Only 1 [For Hire] post per 7 days.
Do not include any personal info in posts or comments. Interested parties will PM you, please share all private details like emails and phone numbers over PM Do not use personal stories as a leverage to get hired

Low quality posts will be removed Put basics in the title. What's the job? Where is it located? etc. Be specific. Include a job description, requirements etc. in the top text. You may provide a link to a job description, but provide enough details in the post to understand the gist of what you're looking for. Be specific. Include a portfolio or resume (or a link to one) in the top text
Apply by PM or other private communication channels, not in comments. Do not leave comments to say that you sent private communication or to request that anyone contact you privately. Comments are for public discussion.
No B2B. The intent of the subreddit is connecting freelancers to gigs, not companies to clients

We do not allow the use of bots to contact members for any purpose. The intent of this subreddit is to facilitate business connections between two (human) parties. Using a bot as either a freelancer or hirer creates a negative experience for the users, and if found to be using a bot you (and your business) will be banned and blacklisted.
